Level 3 Communications Selected as Provider for U.S. General Services Administration’s Colocation and CDN Contract

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), an independent agency of the United States government supporting the basic functioning of U.S. federal agencies, has signed a multi-year ‘Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS)’ contract with Level 3 Communications. 

level 3 communicationsThe contract would allow Level 3 to offer colocation services, Content Delivery Network (CDN), cloud connectivity solutions, and more, to support the GSA’s goal of providing federal agencies access to a broad range of domestic and international network services.

Level 3 provides critical networking support to civilian agencies, the Department of Defense, systems integrators, state/local government agencies and educational/research institutions. More than 300 U.S. government departments and agencies would rely on Level 3’s consultative approach to help meet complex network requirements.

Level 3 will offer a variety of telecommunication and Internet infrastructure services, including:
