Coming Wednesday, November 14th, Dutch media company ChannelConnect will launch its brand new ICT event ‘This Is IT’ in Studio A12 in Bunnik, the Netherlands. Titled ‘Hunting for the end user,’ the new event is expected to welcome over 500 ICT professionals. ‘This Is IT’ is a management-level event aimed at resellers, VARs, MSPs, ISPs, systems integrators, consultants, manufacturers and distributors.
Visitors will gather for information and inspiration in the morning program while able to network and do business in the afternoon program. Well-known Dutch TV-presenter Matthijs van Nieuwkerk accompanies the morning sessions with the theme ‘Hunting for the end user.’
During a panel discussion with Matthijs van Nieuwkerk as an interviewer and moderator, one central question will be highlighted: how does the ICT sector ensure that small and large business end users are well enough informed and therefore make the right decisions? Mr. Van Nieuwkerk will discuss this theme with Lotte de Bruijn, Managing Director of branch organization Netherlands ICT and various leading guests from the ICT sector. Together with a variety of table guests, they will try to find out where and how improvements can be made in the interest of the ICT sector and its participants.
As the perspective of (Dutch) politics will play an integral role in this panel discussion, Martin Wörfsdörfer – second member of parliament for the VVD and IT politician of the year in 2017, will participate in one of the panels.

Challenges for ICT managers
With all the requirements imposed on IT infrastructure today by, for example, (AVG) legislation, customers and employees and the enormous range of solutions available, it often proves difficult for ICT managers to see the wood for the trees. Their IT partner should advise them on this, but even for many IT resellers it appears to be difficult to provide their customers with specialist advice in areas such as IoT, AI, security and cloud solutions.
