French company OVH.com, one of the largest hosting providers in the world with services including cloud hosting and dedicated servers, currently speeds op the development of their new Canadian data center space in Beauharnois, Québec. The new hosting space with a capacity of 10,000 servers will soon be open for business.
The data center expansion comes less than two years after OVH.com started its operations in Canada. At the moment, OVH.com has about 50,000 customers in the North American region.
The new hosting spaces in OVH.com’s “BHS” data center will now be containers and not towers anymore. The location, previously owned by the company Rio Tinto Alcan, an aluminum smelter, covers a large area, thus providing enough space to build horizontally shaped spaces.
