Zayo Group, an international provider of bandwidth infrastructure services, has signed a three year agreement with Peak Hosting, a provider of managed hosting, to provide network connectivity between Peak Hosting’s five locations across the U.S. and Europe. By leveraging multiple connectivity services from Zayo, Peak Hosting will be able to rapidly expand its network footprint as needed.
As part of the agreement, Zayo will provide dark fiber connectivity spanning more than 30 route miles between Peak Hosting’s three Bay Area sites, enabling the managed hosting provider to scale services quickly and easily to meet its customers’ bandwidth demands.
Zayo will also provide Ethernet connectivity between Peak Hosting’s data centers in Ashburn, Virginia; Dallas, Texas; and Santa Clara, California, and 6-gigabit of IP connectivity to these data center locations and additional sites in Amsterdam and Milpitas, California. Additionally, Zayo installed 10-gigabit Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) ports in all five data centers to further promote flexibility.
“Providing our customers with geographically dispersed data centers that can scale rapidly is critical to fulfilling our promise to our customers of ‘what’s the most that we can do’ to meet their hosting requirements and allow them to focus on their core competencies,” said Jeffrey Papen, CEO and founder of Peak Hosting. “We chose to work with Zayo for our connectivity solution as it was able to provide the quality solutions that we required on a timeline that met our needs. The diverse circuits Zayo provided gives us room to grow, and we look forward to providing our customers with Zayo connectivity.”
Zayo delivers a suite of dark fiber, mobile infrastructure, and cloud & connectivity services to wireline and wireless customers, data centers, Internet content providers, high-bandwidth enterprises, and government agencies across its 82,000-route mile network.
