TierPoint Breaks Ground on 69,000 Square Foot Colocation Facility In Oklahoma City

TierPoint, a provider of cloud hosting, colocation and managed services, headquartered in St. Louis, MO, has announced plans to enhance its U.S. data center footprint with the Summer 2015 opening of a new 69,000 square foot colocation facility in Oklahoma City.

The new data center, to be built on TierPoint’s 15 acre campus, will be the largest of three TierPoint facilities in Oklahoma, adding 30,000 square feet of raised floor space. TierPoint currently operates a 22,000 square foot facility in Oklahoma City, built in 2009, as well as a data center in Tulsa with approximately 9,000 square feet of raised floor.

Growing Oklahoma market

The colocation facility will include 10,000 square feet of office space and offer a private customer lounge and work areas with multiple large staging rooms for customer installs and upgrades.

“The new data center will enhance our ability to meet growing customer demand for secure colocation, managed hosting and cloud services and demonstrates TierPoint’s commitment to growing the Oklahoma market,” said Todd Currie, General Manager for TierPoint Oklahoma. “Oklahoma’s low cost of living, land and electrical power have made it one of the nation’s most inviting data center locations.”

TierPoint operates 141,000 square feet of raised floor data center space across multiple carrier-neutral colocation facilities located in Baltimore, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Spokane, Seattle and Tulsa.
