NorthC Datacenters, one of the largest regional data center colocation providers in the Netherlands, has signed a partnership agreement with global Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider, Megaport. Through Megaport, NorthC Datacenters is able to add “flexible and fast” cloud connectivity with many leading cloud providers to support their hybrid and multi-cloud environments – including AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
With Megaport’s on-demand software defined network (SDN), NorthC clients can directly connect their infrastructure to the Megaport Point-of-Presence (PoP) at the NorthC data center in Oude Meer near Amsterdam. Businesses that run their operations in the other regional NorthC data centers are also able to connect to Megaport via NorthC’s ‘Region Connect Ring.’ The network ring is a high speed, direct fiber connection that links the company’s ten regional data centers together to create ‘one virtual data center.’

This allows for rapid and flexible expansion of their cloud environments with secure, high performance connectivity.”
Scalable Connectivity
The new network services would enable colocation customers to rapidly roll out new services and can be operational in just days. NorthC’s and Megaport’s service model would also allow for rapid scaling of network capacity, to meet changing needs.
