NovaStor, an international provider of backup & restore solutions to small and medium business (SMB) as well as network environments of all sizes, has launched NovaBACKUP xSP’s new version 17 for managed service providers. The new release is focused on decreasing the complexity while providing more significant information in clean, precise, and easy to read status updates.
The new real-time reporting capabilities include a coherent overview about successful and failed backup jobs. Having all of the necessary information available at one glance helps service providers to summarize accurate information for their customers.
Individual email templates and an updated log viewer would further simplify the everyday management tasks. To enhance the reliability of the backup inside the cloud, NovaStor implemented an in-depth data verification of sent files. Selecting a pre-configured NAS device for disaster recovery or virtual machine backup jobs, and a one-step SMTP configuration for email notifications, would allow for a faster implementation and therewith a higher customer satisfaction.
“NovaStor provides data protection solutions for both sides of the cloud,” said Mike Andrews, Managing Director at NovaStor. “A secure, stable, and scalable backup software is key to offering managed backup as a service. With our new release of NovaBACKUP xSP, we are continuing to support our partners with a reliable backup software and expert advice for their business model.”
While supporting all current Windows systems, VMware and Hyper-V, service providers can back up their customer’s data either to a local device or to the cloud storage hosted in their data center. Military grade end-to-end encryption, bandwidth optimized data transfer, and the web based Central Management Console with “clear reports” would ensure that the data is secure at all times.
