Options Unveils 100Gb WAN Circuit Upgrade Across London Metro Area

Options Technology

Options Technology, a provider of IT infrastructure to international capital markets businesses, has announced that improvements to its 100Gb core network at all significant London data center colocation sites were successful.

Options Technnology’s customers now have access to the lowest-latency fixed line routes as well as connectivity to all of London’s key liquidity centers via a variety of “robust” routes powered by hollow-core fiber technology.

Options claims to provide extremely reliable and effective global data center colocation and connectivity services, allowing access to hundreds of exchanges and marketplaces globally. The substantial increase in capacity and the additional reduction in latency would underscore Options’ commitment to growing its services by making a variety of new routes and latency profiles accessible across the company’s worldwide trading network.

“A key objective in designing and implementing these routes is to accommodate our clients’ trading strategies in the most efficient way possible. The goal is to create an environment that enables maximum arbitrage execution between the various markets and across asset classes,” said Shamir Parmar, Vice President Product Management at Option Technology. “With the additional capacity, we can readily absorb ever-increasing market data bandwidth and client traffic flow, further bolstering the delivery of content and services across our global network.”

Funding, Microsoft Gold Partner Status

The update would offer improved point-to-point connectivity capabilities with investment bank level security and monitoring in addition to supporting clients that require global data center colocation services.

“Ensuring customers benefit from full availability, capacity, and the lowest latency is the cornerstone of our market connectivity and colocation business,” said Danny Moore, President and CEO at Options Technology. “The 100Gb upgrade, alongside the adoption of Hollow-core fiber, is yet another milestone for the team and a further demonstration of the service excellence, availability, and cutting-edge technology underpinning our colocation ecosystem.”

The news being released is the most recent in a string of important announcements that Options Technology has made, including the debut of its Quantify and Data Store products, VMware Cloud validated status in TR2, and the attainment of 10 Microsoft Gold Partner Status skills.

2019 saw Options secure funding from Boston-based Abry Partners, a private equity firm. With the help of this financing, Options says it has been able to strengthen its technological platform and accelerate its expansion plan while extending its presence in key financial hubs throughout the world.

The top international investment banks, hedge funds, funds of funds, proprietary trading companies, market makers, broker/dealers, private equity firms, and exchanges are among the clients of Options Technology. Options says it is in a good position to serve its clients both locally and remotely since it has offices in nine key cities including: New York, Toronto, Chicago, London, Belfast, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, and Auckland.
