Oracle will give free access to WANdisco LiveData Migrator to its clients and partners in order to expedite data lake migrations to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Based on this newly signed strategic partnership between the two companies, WANdisco LiveData Migrator will also be provided to Oracle itself.

Oracle Cloud Lift Services give Oracle clients expanded access to technical solutions, like LiveData Migrator, and cloud engineering services to help them migrate to OCI more quickly. Oracle provides these tools and services at no additional cost to all existing and new Oracle Cloud customers globally, allowing them to save time, money, and internal resources in their cloud migrations.
This move would benefit enterprise clients with large production datasets. Manual transfer techniques may cost up to $1 million per petabyte of data, according to WANdisco’s 15 years of client engagements and industry data estimates. According to 451 Research, the most significant pain factor for firms that have just migrated to the cloud is pricing.
To solve these issues, Oracle Cloud Lift Services will use WANdisco’s LiveData Migrator and WANdisco support to plan, manage, and execute enterprise-scale digital conversions from Oracle Big Data Appliance and other cloud environments to OCI. When compared to manual cloud migration methods, WANdisco LiveData Migrator can reduce time to business value significantly and provide businesses with quicker data availability in the cloud.

LiveData Migrator will secure business continuity during migrations and expedite time to business insights, enabling Oracle clients to remain ahead of the competition and provide excellent customer experiences.
