The brand-new Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) GoldenGate service offers users a real-time data fabric platform to execute, design, monitor, and orchestrate their data replication and streaming data events. OCI GoldenGate is a cloud service that provides an elastic, pay-per-use solution for general purpose database replication, real-time data ingestion to cloud, data integration, and support for time-series analytics while data is in flight.
The Oracle OCI GoldenGate service would give proper attention to the event-based data integration for analytic data stores and operational databases. Conventional tools specialize in data engineering for analytics or operational data integration, but not both simultaneously. The web-based console application by GoldenGate OCI would minimize the complexity related to the deployment while providing “easy” setup and ongoing monitoring.

Executive Vice President of Mission Critical Database technologies at Oracle, Juan Loaiza, said that Oracle GoldenGate is a highly trusted data integration solution for a lot of customers all over the globe, about 84% of Fortune Global 100 companies. He further said that Oracle is focusing on delivering the “enterprise-hardened” GoldenGate Technology as a cloud-native elastic service to offer a simple to use, operational, analytic, and integrated real-time data fabric to customers. He concluded his statement by saying that it decreases both time and cost of producing a data integration solution in half as compared to alternatives provided on competing clouds.
The Oracle GoldenGate service by OCI is powered by the GoldenGate 21c microservices architecture. It enables the service for a global mesh of connected data resources. The microservices by OCI GoldenGate allow customers to integrate the service into their dev-ops CI/CD pipeline as a first-class, infrastructure-as-code service. Only a single click will allow developers and DBAs to set the service for a 3x auto-scale. This will also provide a way to initiate things on a small scale and grow as workloads increase.
