PacketFabric Announces Availability of 100Gbps Global Multi-Cloud Routing

Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform provider PacketFabric has released support for inter-region and multi-cloud routing across North America and EMEA. Clients may now use the PacketFabric portal and API to provision ‘Cloud Router’ instances on demand and connect to cloud provider on-ramps across North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe at speeds up to 100Gbps.

“PacketFabric Cloud Router is the only global multi-cloud routing that can connect colocation, cloud providers and headquarters at 100G in a couple clicks,” said Anna Claiborne, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer at PacketFabric.

PacketFabric’s Cloud Router offering enables businesses to link geographical areas within a single provider, such as AWS US-East in Northern Virginia and AWS EU-West in Paris. Cloud Router may also connect regions from multiple cloud service providers (CSPs), such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), IBM, and Oracle.

Cloud Router may also link virtual circuits (VCs) to hundreds of PacketFabric PoPs in colocation data centers across the world. To optimize for data plane throughput, low latency, and path reliability, Cloud Router is deployed as a collection of distributed virtual routing services across PacketFabric’s 50T+ global backbone network. Cloud Router is offered on a monthly subscription basis.

Connecting Colocation, Cloud Providers, Company HQs

“Enterprises that are scaling their hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure globally need connectivity that matches that scale,” said Anna Claiborne, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer at PacketFabric. “What they don’t need are high latency, low bandwidth, non-resilient routing choke points that put their whole architecture at risk. PacketFabric Cloud Router is the only global multi-cloud routing that can connect colocation, cloud providers and headquarters at 100G in a couple clicks. Welcome to the future.”

The Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) platform from PacketFabric combines a massively scalable private optical network, “cutting-edge” packet switching technology, and end-to-end automation. PacketFabric connects hundreds of renowned colocation facilities and cloud providers across the world with on-demand, private, and secured connectivity.
