Palo Alto Networks Rolls Out ‘Complete’ Zero Trust Network Security

Palo Alto Networks has rolled out five key innovations that would make it easier for customers to adopt Zero Trust over their network security stack. The five new innovations by Palo Alto include DNS Security, ML-Powered Firewalls, SaaS Security, Cloud Identity Engine, and Advanced URL. These innovations would let organizations implement Zero Trust Network Security efficiently and effectively.

The introduction of SaaS Security, Advanced URL Filtering, DNS Security, Cloud Identity Engine, and new ML-Powered Firewalls would allow organizations to quickly and efficiently implement Zero Trust Network Security – with four key benefits:

Making Secure Access Universally Available – The new capabilities are created to be accessible on all firewall form factors including cloud-delivered, hardware, and software, making safe access globally available irrespective of the location. These innovations will be run on the ML-Powered Next-Generation Firewall models to authorize Zero Trust Network Security over enterprises. It will be applicable on the small level branch offices (with the PA-400 Series) to the most massive campuses and hyper scale data centers (with the PA-5450 platform).

  • Secure access for the right users – this Cloud Identity Engine allows the customers to quickly authorize and authenticate their users over enterprise networks, applications, and clouds, regardless of where their identity stores live.
  • Secure Access to the right Applications – The first integrated Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) that enabled customers to proactively extend secure access to all the SaaS applications including the ones that have never been spotted before.
  • Enhanced Security – The Advanced URL Filtering service would deliver prevention of zero-day web attacks with inline machine learning capabilities. The broadened DNS Security capabilities thwart emerging DNS attacks that no other solution can provide protection from.

Cybersecurity Vice President at Caesars Entertainment Corporation, Bobby Wilkins, said that the Palo Alto Networks SaaS Security solution is straightforward to deploy. He also said that his organization is benefitting from the solution’s enterprise-class capabilities to protect data over all of its corporate SaaS applications.

Availability

Almost all the hardware along with the new features will be introduced in the market by June 2021. The smallest desktop firewall PA-410 will be delayed and might be available late summer. The virtual launch event series is scheduled to start from June 9, 2021.
