Panduit has announced the release of SmartZone Cloud Software, an enhanced cloud-based platform that combines asset management, rack access, and connection management with power and environmental monitoring. From any authorized device across the world, this DCIM solution now allows data center operations to monitor resources and make educated choices about the always changing essential infrastructure.
SmartZone Cloud is a subscription-based service with a license model that combines multi-protocol, vendor-neutral power and environmental monitoring, asset management and capacity planning, and limitless users and locations, independent of the number of licenses purchased.
Stakeholders would gain accurate, automated, and centralized visibility into the hybrid IT environment. It comes with real-time monitoring and alarm notification, 3D visualization, as well as dashboard and reporting of key attributes across the digital infrastructure, to meet the demanding needs of remote management and end-to-end service level agreements.

The software works in tandem with Panduit’s SmartZone PDU and UPS to provide a visual depiction of rack-level power, environmental conditions, and rack access. Furthermore, the power path allows operators to pinpoint a single point of failure, prevent overprovisioning, and quantify risk levels precisely.
“Customers today are demanding unique experiences in highly secure environments that can be achieved by leveraging the infrastructure and technologies from a true cloud-native software,” said Victor Medina, Senior Software Product Manager SmartZone Cloud at Panduit. “Our SmartZone Cloud solution can address customer demands with its responsive web design, high availability and redundancy, quick deployment with instant software updates, data encryption, multiple authentications and permission levels with a complete audit log, and a fully documented API.”
SmartZone Cloud is part of Panduit’s Intelligent Infrastructure portfolio, which combines cloud, on-premises, multi-tenant, and edge data center deployments to give seamless flexibility to satisfy the rising need for hybrid IT.
