The Vertiv MegaMod and Vertiv MegaMod Plus, two versions of a turnkey prefabricated modular (PFM) data center solution, were unveiled by Vertiv, a global provider of digital infrastructure and continuity solutions. The Vertiv MegaMod and Vertiv MegaMod Plus can be deployed in expandable units of 0.5 or 1 megawatts for IT loads of up to 2 megawatts or more.
The prefabricated data center modules are integrated and tested with Vertiv power management systems, thermal management solutions, remote monitoring, and IT equipment racks. According to Vertiv, it would help deliver great data center performance and aid businesses in cutting down deployment times by up to 40 percent in comparison to a conventional data center build. Vertiv’s turnkey PFM data center solutions are now available across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The flexible solution capacity may be readily implemented and increased as the business demands change, making it good fit for medium-sized data centers.

Expanded Rack and Cooling Capacity
To address the need for digital business products and services, businesses are rushing to deploy processing power in new places, stated Vertiv. The Vertiv MegaMod and Vertiv MegaMod Plus prefabricated modular data center solutions would offer up to 25 percent more rack and cooling capacity. According to Vertiv, these solutions can help clients expand core-to-edge data center networks and enable them to quickly deploy more computing capacity with lower upfront costs. They would also provide higher predictability, and reduced risk than typical data center deployments.
Both modular data center systems offer the ability to expand either horizontally or vertically. MegaMod Plus is set up with cooling modules that facilitate the growth of the IT Hall space, whilst MegaMod provides cooling capacity in the IT Hall area.
Vertiv also offers end-to-end services, such as deployment, commissioning, continuing maintenance, remote monitoring, and training, for a smooth start-up and seamless operations.
