ProfitBricks Adds SSD and Intel Processors to Its IaaS Cloud Infrastructure

Cloud infrastructure provider, ProfitBricks, has strengthened its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform by adding solid-state drive (SSD) technology and Intel Xeon processors for provisioning in all data centers.

With the addition of Intel Xeon technology in all virtual servers, ProfitBricks has also created an exclusive ‘Core Technology Choice’ capability, which allows partners to choose between AMD Opteron processors and Intel processors within the same virtual data center.

cloud hosting profitbricksXeon processors would offer ProfitBricks clients a powerful environment because each Intel core is assigned a hyper-thread, which the operating system treats like a second core.

“We are strategically focused on integrating the latest technology in order to provide the best-performing and easiest to use cloud infrastructure in the market,” said Achim Weiss, chief executive officer (CEO) at ProfitBricks. “With the addition of Intel processors and SSD, ProfitBricks is offering a complete set of technology tools so users can evolve their cloud business model.”

ProfitBricks IaaS solutions are sold exclusively in the U.S. through Pax8 and its nationwide network of partners.
