France-based quantum computing manufacturer Pasqal, a global leader in neutral atoms quantum computing, has announced the opening of offices in Boston (USA) and Sherbrooke (Canada). Pasqal has appointed Catherine Lefebvre, a seasoned quantum technology executive, to manage the company’s North American business growth.

Pasqal’s local presence in the United States would enable the company to further capitalize on the tremendous market opportunity by expanding the adoption of Pasqal’s quantum hardware and software solutions by U.S. industries such as energy, healthcare, finance, and automotive. Local presence in the U.S. would also help the French quantum computing manufacturer to deepen its customer relationships.

Pasqal’s newly commissioned Canadian office is in Sherbrooke’s Quantum Innovation Zone, which brings together researchers, companies, and investors to grow the local quantum ecosystem and accelerate quantum technology development and adoption. Pasqal Canada would allow Pasqal to partner with academic institutions and industry to expand its company in Canada and create new commercial applications in areas such as smart cities, energy, and materials science.

Catherine Lefebvre will be located in Pasqal’s Boston office as Vice President, Strategic Business Development North America, where she will lead the company’s commercial and strategic partnership activities and serve as the key point of contact for U.S.-based clients and partners.

Prior to joining Pasqal, Catherine Lefebvre worked for M Squared, a quantum technology company, as a U.S. and Canada Innovation Ambassador, as a quantum technology advisor at the Quebec Ministry of Economy and Innovation, and as a Science Liaison Officer for Element AI (acquired by ServiceNow), a global AI solution developer. With a Ph.D. in molecular physics and quantum chemistry and training in scientific diplomacy, Lefebvre has a research background.
