Rackspace Introduces Kubernetes Container Enablement Service

Global cloud hosting provider Rackspace (NASDAQ: RXT), a company delivering end-to-end multicloud solutions, has announced the availability of Rackspace Container Enablement. The new service offering, which was created to address the most common challenges for organizations using Kubernetes containerization platforms, provides flexible, on-demand multi-cloud expertise.

The Rackspace Container Enablement service includes IaC management, CI/CD, DevOps transformation, and more, in a highly adjustable collaboration model, without a long-term commitment.

Developing and sustaining a cloud-native platform can be difficult, while it sometimes necessitates big, dedicated teams, stated Rackspace. Additional problems may arise as a result of application transformation, such as operational adjustments to code management, QA and testing process flows, and application operational release management that support business development

A good containerization approach may speed up innovation, increase developer productivity, and offer scalability, availability, and portability for applications, stated Rackspace.

“The Rackspace Elastic Engineering model paired with our Managed Platform for Kubernetes helps customers to quickly navigate pain points of application modernization,” said Eric Miller, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Rackspace Technology.“

According to the Future of Compute study conducted by Rackspace and Google Cloud, 62 percent of respondents believe containerized apps will grow in the next two years.

“As an increasing number of organizations have turned to containerized platforms to address their needs, they have found value in the Rackspace Elastic Engineering model which provides them dedicated Kubernetes expertise on the fly when they need it,” said Eric Miller, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Rackspace Technology. “The Rackspace Elastic Engineering model paired with our Managed Platform for Kubernetes helps customers to quickly navigate pain points of application modernization and it dramatically accelerates their adoption of containerization within their business.”

Key benefits of Rackspace Container Enablement would include the following:

  • Managed Platform for Kubernetes – Rackspace Technology can help organizations meet data sovereignty requirements, connect applications internally and externally, leverage high-performance analytics, address low latency requirements, and overcome data gravity issues by providing strategic flexibility to run Kubernetes on private clouds anywhere in the world.
  • Better Economics – Companies may save quite some money by working with Rackspace Technology instead of creating and running their own container orchestration systems. At least that is what the supplier indicates. Rackspace Container Enablement would also give on-demand access to subject matter experts in all areas of container enablement, lowering technical debt and speeding up economic advantages.
  • Operational Experience at Scale – Rackspace Technology brings more than two billion server hours of experience managing IT infrastructure at scale.

Rackspace Container Enablement is available on all Rackspace Technology platforms, as well as through hyperscalers, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
