Red Hat and Accenture Expand Partnership as for Hybrid Cloud Innovation

Red Hat and Accenture have extended their almost 12-year strategic relationship to help organizations around the world take advantage of open hybrid cloud innovation. The firms are collaborating on the creation of new technologies to assist enterprises in navigating a multi- and hybrid cloud environment, defining their strategy, and speeding up innovation to get to value faster.

Organizations would be better able to embrace the cloud continuum – a spectrum of capabilities, from public to private to edge computing, all connected by contemporary networks and built with a zero-trust security philosophy – thanks to the combination of Accenture Cloud First and Red Hat OpenShift.

A hybrid system may combine the advantages of public cloud innovation, speed, consumption, and scalability with the advantages of private cloud regulatory compliance, performance, and data gravity.

Red Hat and Accenture are co-developing new solutions over the next year to assist enterprises shift to hybrid cloud, with an initial focus on the following four areas:

  • Open hybrid cloud application and mainframe modernization – With the lines between public and private cloud blurring and no one-size-fits-all solution, Accenture and Red Hat are collaborating to help customers establish a comprehensive cloud strategy that embraces hybrid to improve operational efficiency and accelerate innovation using Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Automation – Organizations would need consistent, robust, and standardized solutions for managing their cloud estate as they continue to modernize. Accenture and Red Hat are working on solutions to automate and orchestrate workloads across the IT infrastructure in order to decrease risk and lower IT expenditures. Accenture solutions for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform have been developed to provide robust, automated cloud computing capabilities. As a consequence, using infrastructure as code, the firms said they helped one customer achieve a 99 percent reduction in downtime for rolling upgrades, a 100 percent decrease in downtime for operating system patching, and a 50 percent reduction in development time.
  • Edge Computing – The volume and complexity of data generated by connected devices is constantly pushing network and infrastructure capacities to their limits. Red Hat and Accenture are working on new solutions that focus on evaluating and processing data where it is created in order to improve customer experience and minimize latency. Applications may be deployed and automated at the edge with Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, minimizing the need for a physical footprint.
  • Sovereign Cloud – Organizations in diverse nations and industries are navigating an extensive patchwork of technological solutions while adhering to new, evolving industry standards and compliance requirements. Through open source technology and services, Accenture and Red Hat are dedicated to assisting customers in controlling the location, access to, and processing of their data in the cloud.
