Data center solutions vendors Rittal and Stulz have started a worldwide partnership in the field of custom-fit data center infrastructure solutions as well as consulting, support and services. Customers will receive complete data center infrastructure solutions from a single source. The partnership gives Rittal clients direct access to an expanded portfolio of precision cooling systems for medium and large data centers.

Liquid-based closed-circuit chillers, free-cooling products, side chillers and indoor chillers from Stulz would round off Rittal’s broad data center infrastructure portfolio – including cabinets, data center cooling and IT power supply solutions, as well as software solutions for data center management and IT monitoring.

The partners complement the portfolio with a global data center service offering and optimization services that support operators throughout the entire IT lifecycle. The result is data center solutions with future and investment security. Transparent TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) calculation meets high availability and security including monitoring.

“Rittal and Stulz are both family-run companies, with a commitment to innovation and customer centricity,” said Prof. Friedhelm Loh, owner and CEO of Friedhelm Loh Group. “Together, we can offer our customers an even larger portfolio of flexible, end-to-end data center solutions.”

“Rittal and Stulz are both family-run companies, with a commitment to innovation and customer centricity. Together, we can offer our customers an even larger portfolio of flexible, end-to-end data center solutions,” said Prof. Friedhelm Loh, owner and CEO of Friedhelm Loh Group.

Modular Data Center Designs

The joint offering also extends to global support and other services for the entire IT infrastructure lifecycle. According to Rittal and Stulz, clients can be sure of transparent TCO calculation meeting high availability and security needs including monitoring.

“In cooperation with Rittal, we will ensure rapid, reliable IT system implementation,” said Jürgen Stulz, Managing Director Stulz GmbH. “Backed by an agile, global service organization with a presence in more than 120 countries.”

The cooperation would combine expanded data center cooling diversity with a “fast and flexible” setup and expansion of complex IT infrastructures. The precision air-conditioning solutions with free cooling function and adiabatic from Stulz round off the modular concept of the new Rittal platform ‘RiMatrix Next Generation’ (RiMatrix NG).

With individually plannable modules, IT managers receive individual solutions comprising racks, climate control, power supply and IT monitoring and security. RiMatrix NG’s open platform architecture, joint consulting and services would cover all future IT scenarios, from single rack or container solutions, central data centers and distributed edge data centers to highly scalable colocation, cloud and hyperscale data centers.
