After appointing an IBM veteranĀ as managing director for its EMEA operations earlier this month, global cloud and managed hosting provider Savvis has announced the appointment of Gery Messer as managing director for itsĀ Asia PacificĀ operations.

Messer joins Savvis from NGA, where he was responsible for all aspects of the companyāsĀ Asia Pacific,Ā Middle EastĀ andĀ Africa operations, including sales, marketing, research and development, and customer service. Previously, Messer was President for Asia Pacific of Red Hat Inc., and he was also responsible for launching SAPās operations in Korea. His nearly 30 years of international experience in technology and consulting organizations includes leadership roles with EMC, Deloitte, and IBM.
