Scale Computing, a provider of hyper-converged solutions with thousands of data center deployments spanning from SMBs to the distributed enterprises, has been chosen as an Alliance Partner by ‘APC by Schneider Electric’ supporting their hyperconverged Micro Data Center Xpress solution.
Micro Data Centers on the edge are growing in popularity, according to 451 Research, with a compound annual growth rate of 42 percent over the last three years. From retailers and utility companies through to shipping companies, hospitals and universities, quite some organizations would be realizing the potential of addressing the demand for highly distributed capacity.
To support this demand, APC by Schneider Electric created the Micro Data Center Xpress solution, which combines a purpose-built infrastructure with a physical management wrapper for hyper-converged architectures. Scale Computing’s portfolio of HC3 hyperconverged solutions combines storage, servers, and virtualization in one comprehensive system to automate overall management. This would allow IT to focus on managing applications rather than infrastructure.
“Copaco is very thrilled to work with Scale Computing, Lenovo and APC by Schneider Electric on a Micro Datacenter-in-a-Box solution,” said Sacha Wingers, business director ESG at Copaco in the Netherlands. “Collaborating with these market leaders will make sure this hyper converged solution has an optimized configuration and performance. We believe this turnkey solution will have a great impact on the SMB-sector and that it will be very successful in the Dutch market.”
Edge, Big Data, IoT
Designed to simplify physical deployments for Edge environments, the Micro Data Center Xpress would deliver a “fast, cost-effective and resilient” solution for channel partners, MSPs and end users, as well as meeting the challenges of Big Data and Internet of Things (IoT).
“Our innovative micro data center solutions continue to be recognized as industry-leading technologies generating significant interest across the market, as demonstrated with some recent award wins including the SVC Awards and Data Centre Solutions Awards in the UK, whereby popular vote, we won the ‘Hyperconverged Innovation of the Year’ and ‘Micro Datacenter of the Year’ awards,” said Cissy Walker, global director, IT Alliances, Schneider Electric. “Working with Scale as an alliance partner supporting our Micro Data Center Xpress, we can ensure our customers the highest level of expertise when designing solutions to meet the needs of today’s data centers and distributed environments, while setting us up to address the biggest challenges of tomorrow.”
