Scale Computing Expands Hyperconverged Distribution Agreement with Ingram Micro into the United States

Scale Computing, a provider of hyper-converged data center solutions headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, has announced an expansion of its distribution agreement with Ingram Micro, one of the world’s largest wholesale technology distributors. After delivering its hyperconverged data center solution through Ingram Micro company Promark, Scale Computing has now expanded its distribution agreement with Ingram Micro to include the United States.

The data center solutions delivered by Scale Computing integrate storage, servers and virtualization software into an all-in-one appliance-based ‘hyperconverged’ system that would be scalable, self-healing, and as easy to manage as a single server.

Using industry standard components, their ‘HC3’ hyper-converged appliances would install in under an hour while able to be expanded and upgraded with no downtime. High availability insulates the user from any disk or server failure, and a unified management capability driven by the patented HyperCore Software would efficiently integrate all functionality. The result is a data center solution that would reduce operational complexity, allowing a faster response to business issues, while reducing costs.

“After distributing Scale Computing in Canada for more than half of a decade, Ingram Micro is thrilled to expand our alliance to include the United States,” said Tim Ament, senior vice president, Advanced Solutions, Ingram Micro U.S. “Through this alliance, Ingram Micro looks forward to providing Scale Computing’s hyper-converged data center solutions to our resellers and service providers throughout North America.”

Scale Computing began its distribution relationship with Promark, a premier value-add distributor (VAD) and an Ingram Micro company since 2012. The Promark relationship expanded to Ingram Micro Canada and now includes the United States. The new agreement would reflect the growing need among businesses to have an all-in-one hyperconverged solution, incorporating server, storage, virtualization and disaster recovery.

“The expanding alliance with Ingram Micro validates the success of our relationship in Canada, which has created a foundation for us to build upon in the United States,” said Scott Mann, director of North American channel, Scale Computing. “With the extensive ecosystem of technology partners within Ingram Micro and Promark, we have an opportunity to offer an industry-validated hyper converged product that will help them differentiate from the competition in a market that is exponentially growing. We look forward to our continued collaboration with Ingram Micro in the future.”
