Schneider Electric, the global specialist in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has inaugurated a new plant in El Paso, Texas. The new plant will increase Schneider Electric’s production capacity to accommodate “significant growth in the data center market” for which the company provides integrated hardware and software solutions.

Named El Paso 3, the new plant will employ the latest techniques in supply chain methodology for enhanced quality and productivity and will integrate Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure products throughout the facility. This includes the integration of connected products, edge control, and analytics software on the plant floor, demonstrating the latest in smart factory innovation. Furthermore, the plant will embrace Schneider Electric’s new modern workplace policy and provide an open, collaborative space for employees.

The 112,000 square foot expansion of Schneider Electric’s current operations in El Paso will create 100 hourly and 20 salaried jobs to staff the plant and support production of new products and solutions.

“The incredible talent and resources available in Texas have enabled Schneider Electric to continually innovate for our customers and improve our manufacturing processes,” said Ted Klee, Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain, North America, Schneider Electric. “We’re confident this continued investment in El Paso will benefit the community as well as our customers, suppliers, and employees, and will serve the demands of the market for years to come.”
