SentinelOne Announces Latest Addition to DataSet Technology: Kubernetes Explorer

Autonomous cybersecurity platform firm SentinelOne (NYSE: S) has unveiled Kubernetes Explorer, the newest complement to DataSet technology. For current Kubernetes deployments, the service would provide DevOps and engineering teams with newfound management and performance observability.

For enterprises all around the world, enormous volumes of fragmented data in dispersed, containerized apps would cause additional expenditures and data silos. DataSet Kubernetes Explorer addresses these issues by providing real-time access into application and infrastructure metrics, events, and contextual logs in a single solution “at a fraction of the price.”

Teams may use Kubernetes Explorer to quickly understand the interdependencies of Kubernetes components, diagnose performance issues, find fundamental causes, and remedy them.

“Dynamic containerized platforms generate a large volume of fast-moving data,” said Paul Nashawaty, Senior Analyst at Enterprise Strategy Group. “As organizations shift to Kubernetes, the ability to cost-effectively analyze events across the entire cloud stack including applications, container platforms, and infrastructure will become the norm, not the exception.”

“DataSet is the best-of-breed log analytics solution for cloud-native deployments. Our offering provides unmatched performance and scale while optimizing the total cost of ownership,” said Rahul Ravulur, General Manager DataSet, at SentinelOne.

Kubernetes Explorer gives users a quick overview of all Kubernetes clusters, with the option to dig down into a specific cluster, namespace, nodes, pods, containers, or deployed workloads in a matter of seconds. Kubernetes Explorer would also give quick access into Kubernetes component lifecycle events, allowing teams to draw the dots between distributed infrastructure and applications. A smooth pivot to contextual logs would provide detailed visibility, assisting companies in promptly troubleshooting and resolving abnormalities.

“Traditional data platforms were designed decades ago in the pre-cloud era and don’t work for modern environments. They are too slow to detect and respond in real-time, too siloed for useful insights, too expensive to scale, and too complex to operate,” said Rahul Ravulur, General Manager DataSet, at SentinelOne. “Access to full-fidelity logs is a must in dynamic container environments to deliver a flawless application experience. DataSet is the best-of-breed log analytics solution for cloud-native deployments. Our offering provides unmatched performance and scale while optimizing the total cost of ownership.”

SentinelOne just debuted their “breakthrough” live enterprise platform, and the next DataSet innovation follows just months afterwards. For existing clients, Kubernetes Explorer is now available in preview.
