Server Mania, a provider of cloud and dedicated hosting, has announced significant upgrades to its data center facilities in Buffalo, New York, and has plans for similar updates in Los Angeles, California, in the near future.
Server Mania’s updates provide multiple connections to premium transit providers, giving customers extensive redundancy and real-time channels to the fastest traffic path. The Buffalo network now boasts the following:
- 80 Gbit from Hibernia Atlantic (previously 40 Gbit)
- 60 Gbit to Telia Sonera (increased from 40 Gbit)
- 40 Gbit to XO Communications
- 20 Gbit to Zayo
Telia Sonera is among Europe’s largest networks and is one of the fastest growing Tier-1 networks in the United States. This recent network improvement would give Server Mania’s customers access to significantly increased overseas transmission speeds.
“This update means that customers serviced by our Buffalo, NY will enjoy a total network capacity of 200 Gbit per second or 200,000 Mbit per second,” said Kevin Blanchard, CEO of Server Mania. “To put it in perspective, our latest enhancement means transfer speeds that are ten thousand times faster than a standard residential cable Internet connection.”
“We’ve always been pleased to offer the fastest speeds at the lowest latency, and this upgrade helps us to stay ahead of the curve,” added Mr. Blanchard. “With the continued investment in our facilities, Server Mania customers benefit from an unparalleled 100% uptime SLA and the best customer service in the business.”
