ServInt Unveils New Dedicated Servers With Serious Horsepower and Cloud-like Provisioning

ServInt, a global provider of managed cloud hosting and dedicated servers, has unveiled Flex v3, a new line of fully managed, dedicated servers under its Flex brand. The new product line would feature cloud-like provisioning alongside enterprise-grade specifications to users who wish to continue operating on a private, dedicated-server platform.

dedicated-servers-servintServInt’s Flex line was initially introduced in 2012 to enable customers to instantly configure and deploy dedicated servers to meet their exact requirements, paying only for the RAM and storage they need.

The company’s new Flex v3 is an all-new dedicated server line that would achieve an industry-leading cost/performance ratio. With Flex v3, ServInt is targeting a mid-market, business-managed, web hosting segment dominated by higher-cost, dedicated server offerings, as well as public cloud offerings that do not serve the needs of all clients.

The Flex purchase and provisioning system is powered by ServInt’s proprietary SimpleScalevirtualization enhancement technology, which is based on Parallels’ Virtuozzo Containers system. Combining these two cloud platforms allows Flex customers to purchase and scale their servers on a near-instantaneous basis.

ServInt’s Flex v3 line includes three product versions, Flex Express, Flex Pro and Flex Enterprise.

  • Flex v3 Express – with optional RAM and disk-space increases that can scale RAM and disk storage to as much as 32GB and 1.5TB, respectively.
  • Flex v3 Pro – available in both SAS and nearline SAS configurations, with optional RAM and disk-space increases that can scale RAM and disk storage to as much as 64GB and 1.5TB, respectively.
  • Flex v3 Enterprise – available in both SAS and nearline SAS configurations, with optional RAM and disk-space increases that can scale RAM and disk storage to as much as 128GB and 3TB, respectively.

“The cloud evolution has seen many hosting service providers forget about the dedicated-server customer, and that’s a shame,” said ServInt Founder and CEO Reed Caldwell. “There are hundreds of thousands of businesses that believe in and trust the reliability of dedicated servers, but want it with the same cloudy benefits that modern provisioning provides. ServInt’s SimpleScale technology offers customers the best of both worlds, and our new Flex v3 does it on the best hardware value for the dollar in the entire web hosting industry.”

Founded in Northern Virginia in 1995, ServInt provides a range of IaaS, PaaS, VPS and dedicated server packages to hosting service resellers, web designers, developers and online businesses in more than 130 countries.
