OSNEXUS, a provider of software defined storage (SDS) solutions, has entered into a North American reseller distribution agreement with Redapt, a full service systems integrator based in Redmond Washington. The agreement will enable Redapt to deliver a broad set of storage solutions based on the OSNEXUS QuantaStor SDS platform including cloud hosting, virtualization, scale-out-NAS, and disaster recovery.
OSNEXUS’ QuantaStor SDS platform would deliver enterprise-grade software with consumer-grade simplicity. The QuantaStor storage appliance software is a combined SAN (iSCSI/FC) + NAS (NFS) storage system OS built on top of Ubuntu Server (Linux) which installs on any commodity 64bit Intel or AMD server.
The QuantaStor SDS platform is designed to tackle the storage challenges facing cloud hosting, Big Data and high performance applications. The platform is a nexus of open storage capabilities in a single unified suite, including traditional block and file protocols, databases like Hadoop, OpenStack SWIFT and scale-out storage. OSNEXUS’ platform has been deployed in a variety of applications including virtualization, high availability, archive, high performance computing, and private, hybrid and public cloud hosting environments.
