Sophos Switch Series Released to Enhance Access Layer Connectivity

Sophos, a worldwide pioneer in cybersecurity solutions, has announced the launch of its Sophos Switch Series. The new product range includes network access layer switches for connecting, powering, and controlling device access inside a LAN. Sophos’ secured access portfolio now comprises Sophos Firewall and Sophos Wireless, in addition to the new solution.

Sophos Switches are administered remotely using the Sophos Central platform, which is hosted in the cloud. Through a single, “easy” interface, partners can manage all client installations, respond to alarms, and track licenses and approaching renewal dates.

“Sophos Switch seamlessly integrates with the Sophos adaptive cybersecurity ecosystem to extend connectivity across office LANs,” said Joe Levy, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Sophos. “We’re removing the complexities of multi-vendor deployments by providing organizations and channel partners with a single source of management, monitoring and troubleshooting.”

“Sophos Switch seamlessly integrates with the Sophos adaptive cybersecurity ecosystem to extend connectivity across office LANs,” said Joe Levy, CTO at Sophos.

“Sophos Switch perfectly complements the existing Sophos portfolio – it was the missing piece in our IT security offering, and now gives our business even more clout. We were already very successful with Sophos Firewall, and thanks to Sophos Switch we are now able to unleash the full power of Sophos’ products and services,” said Patrizio Perret, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Avanet, an MSSP focusing exclusively on Sophos. “Our experience from the early access program proved that Sophos Switch is a game changer for us, and we were very positively surprised at how well the product worked from day one. While a switch is pretty much a commodity these days, Sophos is adding the necessary spice to the hardware with the software capabilities. Sophos’ adaptive cybersecurity ecosystem is the magic ingredient that will make Sophos Switch something really special by enabling companies to integrate it with other Sophos security components in their network.”

Headquartered in Oxford, U.K., Sophos is a global pioneer in cybersecurity solutions, defending over 500,000 businesses and millions of consumers in over 150 countries against today’s most sophisticated cyberthreats. Sophos offers its products and services all around the globe through resellers and managed service providers (MSPs).
