By using AWS, SoundExchange was able to transform their technology to be efficient, reliable, flexible, and fast. SoundExchange is the independent nonprofit organization that collects digital performance royalties from over 2,500 digital radio stations, cable television music channels and satellite providers, and distributes them to rights holders. In 2012, SoundExchange began using Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3 to host their corporate website. This allowed them to start learning, and since then, they have added capabilities like Elastic Load Balancing and autoscaling. From their website to their core business processes to their royalty administrative platform, they use AWS to save money and improve performance. The cloud has helped SoundExchange expand upon their mission and launch new business initiatives to better serve their customers.
