Starline Expands Its Busbar Offering with New XCP High Power Busbars

A brand of conglomerate Legrand, Starline has launched its XCP High Power Busbar, designed for data center grey space. For applications requiring 630-6300 amps of continuous duty at 1000V and ambient operating temperatures up to 55 degrees, the new busbar solution would be perfect. It may be deployed in extremely compact spaces. With the XCP High Power Busbar’s unique software, layout/REVIT development is expedited while maintaining high accuracy.

Starline provides comprehensive High Performance (XCP-HP) and Standard Performance (XCP-S) power solutions. The new XCP High Power Busbar would offer the following features in further detail:

  • Flexibility – With features and accessories that would ease the planning and construction of mission-critical infrastructures, this system is “extra-compact, efficient, and simple to deploy.” With copper or aluminum conductors, a wide choice of components and power connections, as well as tap-offs up to 1250 amps, the XCP product line may be built and tailored for any project design, including multi-floor distribution.
  • Performance – A unique design using high-end materials that enables industry-leading ambient temperature ratings, low electrical losses, and negligible electromagnetic emissions. This would result in reliable data center setups and cost savings.
  • Safety – IEC 61439-1 & 6 certified and built with characteristics such as fire and earthquake resistance, high short-circuit ratings, good ingress protection and superior insulation technology to assist ensure the safety of the operations crew.

“Data centers are being designed and built as quickly as possible today and with Starline’s PSSL busbar layout software having the ability to work with BIM models and AutoCAD, it is easy to pre-design busbar runs in order to meet aggressive on-site project schedules,” said John Berenbrok, Senior Product Manager for Data Centers at Starline.
