Startup Help.com Appoints Industry Vet Dave Koston Vice President of Engineering

Customer service software startup Help.com has announced the appointment of Dave Koston as its VP of Engineering. Mr. Koston, who was one of the first employees at cPanel, brings almost 15 years of experience in enterprise technology to this growing startup – an Austin, Texas-based company backed by $6 million in funding.

Former VP of Operations and employee number 3 at cPanel, Koston helped grow the business to 75 employees and high double digit MM revenue while also becoming one of the leading web hosting control panel solutions in the world.

Dave Koston joins Help.com most recently from CloudFlare where he led the TLS team, which was responsible for managing SSL Certificates for millions of customers. He also led a team at CloudFlare to build the API that powers CloudFlare’s joint venture with Baidu, Yunjiasu (su.baidu.com).

Hiring Dave Koston is a move that would allow Help.com not only to accelerate growth, but to build software that companies from 1 to 100,000 people will be able to use easily and will scale with their growth.
