Stream Data Centers Breaks Ground on 145,000 Sq. Ft. Data Center in the Dallas Market

Stream Data Centers, a U.S. data center developer and operator, developing and operating data center facilities for corporate users and cloud providers, has announced that construction has commenced on their latest data center development in Dallas, Texas.

The ground-up 145,000-square-foot, ‘ready-to-fit’ data center is being built in Legacy Business Park, a master-planned office campus and mixed-use development in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The facility, scheduled for completion in October 2017, is Stream’s tenth data center project in Texas.

Upon completion, the Stream ‘ready-to-fit’ data center – DFW VI in Legacy Business Park – would offer:

  • 145,000 square foot, purpose-built, structurally enhanced, powered shell data center expandable to 265,000 square feet
  • 014-acre site located outside of the 500-year flood plain
  • Two 20 MW utility feeds from two separate substations. Pre-engineered with a third utility feed for expansion
  • Robust and redundant fiber connectivity with four diverse fiber routes
  • 24×7 on-site security with perimeter security fencing
  • Ability to secure data center tax incentives from the State of Texas
