Stream Data Centers Hires Eric Ballard as Vice President of Connectivity

Stream Data Centers, a company specialized in developing data centers for corporate users, has appointed Eric Ballard as its vice president of connectivity. Mr. Ballard joins Stream’s Technology Services Group from Equinix where he served as a solutions architect for Equinix’s global customer base.

Eric Ballard’s focus is network design, peering, cloud enablement, compute, storage and virtualization. Prior to Equinix, he spent ten years in the cable MSO industry focused on designing national networks, for IP and telecommunication service providers.

Mr. Ballard will be working closely with Michael Lahoud who was recently promoted to senior vice president over Stream Data Centers’ Technology Services Group. Eric will lead the design effort for Stream Data Centers‘ connectivity strategies and service the needs of their clients.

Since 1999, Stream Data Centers has acquired, developed and operated more than 1.5 million square feet of data center space in Texas, Colorado, Minnesota and California representing more than 125 megawatts of power. The company’s customers include Apple, AT&T, Catholic Health Initiatives, The Home Depot and Nokia.
