Internet Vikings, a cloud hosting company with global operations, has announced its entry into the United States, beginning with licensed hosting for iGaming operators in West Virginia. This launch marks the start of the company’s mission to supply hosting services to businesses in all jurisdictions where online gaming is allowed in the near future.

The United States began to open its doors to this thriving sector approximately three years ago, after ending a 26-year Federal prohibition on Internet gambling. Prior to that, only a few localities were permitted to provide a restricted kind of wagering.

As a rising number of states now legalize iGaming, Internet Vikings hopes to establish itself as a leading iGaming-specific hosting provider by establishing its first data center in West Virginia, where it has already begun to attract interested clients.

12 Additional U.S. States

“As we were learning the ins and outs of the gambling hosting regulations and market in the USA, we noticed a few things that could be done better,” said Elena Kvakova, Head of U.S. Expansion at Internet Vikings.

Internet Vikings will soon provide its customized hosting options across 12 additional states, including 24 cores, 64 GB RAM, 500 GB storage, and 50 Mbit bandwidth each month. They’ll start with Michigan and Pennsylvania, then New Jersey, Louisiana, Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, Colorado, Ohio, Tennessee, Illinois, and Virginia. But the company has no intentions to stop there, with ambitions to open-up a shop in every state that votes to legalize online gambling.

Despite the presence of other comparable enterprises on American territory, Internet Vikings thinks it will stand out owing to a variety of distinguishing characteristics.

Since November 2020, Elena Kvakova – the head of U.S. Expansion at Internet Vikings – has, amongst other things, been working on collecting the necessary information, preparing documentation, and resolving any issues for expanding into the US.

“Hosting has always been our strong suit and our main product. As we were learning the ins and outs of the gambling hosting regulations and market in the USA, we noticed a few things that could be done better,” said Elena Kvakova. “And to us, a Swedish company, an agile approach and customer focus are at the forefront of everything we do. That is what we are trying to do in the key states right now – set up secure, reliable, cost-effective and fully formed hosting solutions, so that the new providers that are entering the U.S. market will be able to focus on other things.”

Malta Gaming Authority Standards

“We are excited to start our journey into the United States. It’s a huge challenge and wonderful opportunity for us,” said Rickard Vikström, founder and CCO of Internet Vikings, and is visionary driving force behind this new expansion.

Internet Vikings has been complying with MGA (Malta Gaming Authority) standards since the beginning of 2021, when it opened a new data center in Singapore and a virtualization platform in Malta, which, when combined with the newly obtained ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification, would makes the firm entirely compliant. All of this, along with its expansion now into the United States, would put Internet Vikings as a confident market leader and front-runner in the iGaming sector when it comes to cloud hosting services.

“We are excited to start our journey into the United States. It’s a huge challenge and wonderful opportunity for us,” said Rickard Vikström, founder and CCO of Internet Vikings, and is visionary driving force behind this new expansion. “With this expansion we want to cement our position as a leading iGaming hosting provider on a global scale.”
