team.blue, a merger that originated from the companies Combell and TransIP with an employee count of more than 1,000 people, is expanding its European footprint to the CEE region with the acquisition of web hosting provider SuperHosting, a market leader in Bulgaria. It will now join team.blue and become part of the growing group of European hosting infrastructure providers for businesses.
Founded in 2005, SuperHosting grew strongly in the last few years, mainly organically but also through M&A. In 2017 it acquired Host.bg, another web hosting provider in Bulgaria. The SuperHosting headquarters is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, while the company recently launched a second office in Serbia to start its geographical expansion in the region.
The acquisition of the SuperHosting platform is intended to further strengthen team.blue’s position in the CEE region. Founders Lyubomir Rusanov and Metodi Drenosvki will stay on board and will continue to lead the company and execute that vision. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
