Tech Mahindra Now Offers IoT Experience Lab in California with Anritsu

6 billion IT services firm Tech Mahindra, a company employing more than 151,000 professionals across 90 countries, has established an Internet of Things (IoT) Experience Lab in Fremont, California. This IoT lab is the result of Tach Mahindra’s collaboration with Anritsu, a global provider of test and measurement solutions for wireline and wireless technologies.

It will allow efficient testing of 5G devices utilized in upcoming IoT use cases and will be located at Tech Mahindra’s Fremont, CA campus. The lab’s goal is to provide a simple, cost-effective environment for 5G IoT device makers to evaluate device performance during pre-commercialization, ensuring higher product trust.

The IoT Experience Lab will serve as both an incubator and a research and development facility for IoT device makers, allowing them to test their ideas early in the development process and assist them launch best-in-class IoT products. The partnership will rely on Tech Mahindra’s use cases and Anritsu’s easy automated smart application software, which runs functional, performance, stress, and regression tests automatically and generates “user-friendly” reports and logs to assess device performance.

“The advances in 5G will aid the evolution of innovative use cases in IoT.  While this creates new opportunities, the way the design and manufacturing engineers validate products and procedures must also keep pace with the newer capabilities,” said Rohit Madhok, Global Head of Digital Engineering Services, Tech Mahindra. “Tech Mahindra’s NXT.NOW strategy focuses on accelerating enterprises’ 5G adoption and this collaboration with Anritsu to start an IoT Experience Lab at our Fremont facility is a significant step in this direction by enabling IoT device manufacturers to deliver high-quality solutions with much less time to market.”

Original Equipment Manufacturers

Anritsu’s Radio Communication Test Station MT8000A, Radio Communication Analyzer MT8821C, Signalling Tester MD8475B, and Wireless Connectivity Test Set (WLAN) MT8862A are all part of the experience lab.

Device OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) may use the lab to ensure that their products are working as intended in various verticals such as industrial IoT, telemedicine, driverless cars, smart cities, and virtual reality (VR).

Our collaboration with Tech Mahindra provides a resource for manufacturers to cost- and time-efficiently verify that their devices will operate according to specifications in the most challenging real-world environments.”

This lab would help deliver cost reductions by utilizing Tech Mahindra’s 5G technical capability to build IoT devices suitable for commercialization and Anritsu’s help in numerous technologies, including 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA), 4G LTE, and WLAN. When devices connect to commercial corporate networks, it assists OEMs in minimizing potential failures/returns. By using its NXT.NOW architecture, Tech Mahindra is dedicated to building a human-centered, digitally connected, and integrated world as a trailblazer in the 5G revolution.
