Teradata and AWS Form Global Strategic Partnership

Teradata (NYSE: TDC) has signed a three-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS and Teradata are collaborating to expand product integrations and development with AWS, as well as create collaborative go-to-market initiatives to assist clients in migrating, modernizing, and de-risking their cloud adoption journeys using Teradata Vantage on AWS.

Expected client benefits of this Strategic Collaboration Agreement would include:

  • Easier adoption of Teradata Vantage by AWS customers – Teradata and AWS are working together to make it simple for a wide range of personas – such as data scientists, data analysts, line of business teams, IT, and DevOps – to use Teradata Vantage on AWS to migrate, manage, connect, and build new data workloads and applications across the broad range of AWS services, at enterprise scale in the cloud.
  • Industry cloud solutions delivering meaningful business outcomes – Teradata and AWS are cooperating to create ready-to-use reference architectures and use case-specific recipes that use the power and speed of Teradata Vantage to generate significant business outcomes for enterprises embracing AWS industrial clouds. Customers in important sectors will benefit from a faster time-to-insight because to Teradata’s established industry experience.
  • Data marketplace and data sharing – Teradata and Amazon Web Services are collaborating to take data sharing to the next level. Users would get an open approach to data sharing with open file formats and the ability to leverage multiple tools, technologies, models, and industry data to access and process data within Teradata Vantage at scale thanks to tight integration with Teradata Vantage, Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), AWS Data Exchange, and AWS Service Catalog.
  • Simple purchasing and billing through AWS Marketplace – Teradata Vantage is still accessible in the AWS Marketplace, letting users to bundle their Vantage purchases by subscribing directly through AWS and contributing to their AWS commitment drawdown.

Teradata and AWS will collaborate on co-marketing and co-selling initiatives based on industry use cases, incentives, and accelerators to provide clients with extra value. AWS and Teradata will focus on selected verticals throughout the world, assisting clients in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and Internet of Things (IoT) services to enable real-time data analysis and management using Vantage.
