TeraGo Networks, a Canadian provider of network, voice, data center, colocation and cloud services, has announced that it will enhance its VMware-based RackForce cloud services across Canada.
As part of its expanded collaboration with VMware, TeraGo, a member of the VMware vCloud Air Network since 2010, will receive earlier access to new technology and platform updates from VMware, enabling it to accelerate the development and deployment of VMware vCloud powered services.
“We are pleased to expand our relationship with TeraGo to provide Canadian customers enhanced VMware-cloud service offerings,” said Geoff Waters, vice president, Service Provider Channel, VMware. “TeraGo’s VMware based-cloud services can scale to meet the needs of its various customers as they move to the cloud.”
The collaboration would enable TeraGo faster time-to-market delivery of enhanced VMware based cloud solutions, enabling customers to have access to readily available products.
“We have been in collaboration with VMware for several years, especially through the RackForce multi-tenant cloud services based on VMware,” said Stewart Lyons, President and CEO of TeraGo. “In 2014, we were named VMware Canadian Cloud Partner of the Year, and our expanded collaboration solidifies our mutually beneficial relationship. This collaboration will allow us to employ strategies to increase awareness and adoption of cloud across Canada.”Â
TeraGo manages over 3,000 cloud workloads, as well as seven data centers in the Greater Toronto Area, the Greater Vancouver Area, Ottawa, Kelowna and Winnipeg and owns and manages its own IP network. The company serves over 4,000 business customers in 46 major markets across Canada including Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Winnipeg.
