A new Tier III data center by TierPoint has been built at 2315 Millpark Drive in Maryland Heights, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis. The data center’s construction was initially announced in September 2021. The new facility, which is supported by a roughly $20 million contribution, now has 23,000 square feet of total space, 14,500 square feet of production or raised floor area, and an additional 23,000 square feet under lease for future growth.
The new data center would be the biggest of its kind outside of downtown St. Louis, where TierPoint already has two other data centers. A fourth Missouri data center is located in the Kansas City region. TierPoint manages 40 data centers across the U.S. in total, providing a wide range of IT infrastructure solutions.
Data Center Anchor Tenant
A multinational supplier of technological solutions with its main office in St. Louis, World Wide Technology (WWT), has agreed to be an anchor tenant of the new data center.
“WWT’s ever-expanding need for data center space drove us to partner with TierPoint,” said Mike Taylor, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Services at World Wide Technology. “TierPoint’s Millpark facility is close to our global headquarters and tech campus in St. Louis, which allows us to scale operationally in our Advanced Technology Center. The WWT and TierPoint strategic partnership includes going to market together to solve customer challenges and serving as a strategic supplier of software, hardware and services to TierPoint, as they grow their business. We look forward to growing all aspects of our relationship in the future.”
WWT is a global supplier of technology solutions with $14.5 billion in annual revenue, to help big public and commercial organizations throughout the world achieve revolutionary results faster. The firm employs more than 8,000 employees and has more than 55 sites worldwide.
