1. Equinix Acquires ‘Iconic’ Infomart Dallas Colocation Data Center for $800M – February 2018
Global data center and interconnection provider, Equinix, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the Infomart Dallas colocation data center, including its operations and tenants, from ASB Real Estate Investments, in an $800 million debt and cash transaction.
“As Dallas becomes an increasingly strategic North American interconnection hub for businesses making the shift to digital, the acquisition of the Infomart will enable existing and new customers to scale their operations with Equinix,” said Karl Strohmeyer, President, Americas, Equinix.
2. Iron Mountain Pays €205M to Acquire Colocation Data Centers EvoSwitch in Amsterdam – May 2018
Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM), the global data storage and information management services company with services including colocation and cloud-based managed services, has acquired EvoSwitch’s two colocation data center sites in the Metropolitan Region Amsterdam (MRA) for €205 ($235) million. Total potential capacity of these two data centers in the Amsterdam area for Iron Mountain is 34MW. Read further.

3. Equinix Closes Acquisition Data Center Provider Metronode in Australia – April 2018
Equinix, Inc., the global interconnection and data center company, today announced the completion of its acquisition of Metronode, a leading data center provider operating facilities throughout Australia. Read further.

4. H5 Data Centers Announces Acquisition of 240,000 Sq. Ft. Data Center in Quincy, Washington – July 2018
U.S. colocation and wholesale data center provider, H5 Data Centers, has acquired from Intuit Inc. a 240,000 square-foot, purpose-built data center in Quincy, Washington. The acquisition expands H5 Data Centers’ portfolio across the U.S. to 12 data centers and compliments its 300,000 square-foot data center in downtown Seattle. Read further.

5. S. Colocation Provider ServerFarm Acquires London Data Center -April 2018
ServerFarm, a colocation company with facilities located across the U.S. and Canada, has expanded its data center portfolio through the acquisition of an 8MW colocation data center located in Feltham, London, U.K. The acquisition is ServerFarm’s first European property, adding another 120,000 square feet to its existing colocation data center portfolio of more than one million square feet. Financial terms of this acquisition were not disclosed. Read further.

6. Stream Data Centers Buys 23 Acres of Land For New Dallas-Area Hyperscale Data Center Development -April 2018
Retail colocation company Stream Data Centers has acquired approximately 23 acres of land for the construction of their new Dallas-area campus development in Garland, Texas. When completed in late 2018, the newly-constructed DFW VII facility will offer an expandable 140,000 square foot data center with redundant 40 MW utility feeds from an on-site substation provided by Oncor. Ultimately, the data center campus will total approximately 400,000 square feet.

7. eStruxture Data Centers Expands in Canada, Buys Kolotek from Gaz Métro Plus – February 2018
As part of their ongoing strategy to expand its cloud-neutral colocation data center business across Canada, eStruxture Data Centers has acquired Kolotek from Gaz Métro Plus. The acquisition of Kolotek follows eStruxture’s recently secured $180 million in committed capital to enable greater velocity of its organic and inorganic growth plans. Read further.

8. Zayo Acquires Colocation Data Center in McLean, Virginia – April 2018
Zayo Group, a global provider of data center solutions including fiber and bandwidth connectivity, as well as colocation and cloud infrastructure, has acquired a data center in McLean, Virginia. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Read further.

9. Investment Company IPI Acquires Remaining Three Infomart Data Centers – March 2018
Equinix acquired the iconic Infomart Dallas colocation data center last month for €800 million. Now the remaining three Infomart data centers have been sold to a data center investment company, IPI Data Center Partners Management, LLC. This company invests in data centers and other technology and connectivity-related real assets and is sponsored by ICONIQ Capital, LLC and an affiliate of Iron Point Partners, LLC. Read further.
10. Colocation Provider ColoHouse Expands Global Footprint, Acquires Dutch ISP Netrouting – January 2018
ColoHouse Data Center, a colocation provider with a highly connected data center in Florida, has announced the acquisition of one of their largest and longtime partners, Netrouting. Netrouting would add an extensive selection of colocation, managed cloud hosting, Internet and metro services to the ColoHouse portfolio. Netrouting operates and owns two data centers in The Netherlands and several other Points
of Presence in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Read further.
