Two Swiss Firms, SCRT and Telsys, Acquired by Orange Cyberdefense

Orange Business Services - Data Center

The Orange subsidiary Orange Cyberdefense purchased all of the shares of SCRT and Telsys, two Swiss businesses. These two sister firms, which have operations in Geneva and Bern, together with a joint headquarters in Morges near Lausanne, employ over 100 professionals with expertise in cybersecurity and related services.

Within the French-speaking Swiss cybersecurity sector, SCRT with a staff of approximately 70 workers has supported its clients for 20 years by providing a full range of services, including managed security services, consultancy, ethical hacking, and attack remediation.

Telsys is more specialized in the management of IT solutions. Telsys would be able to provide a wide range of services that are specifically catered to meet the needs of its clients thanks to a team of almost 30 employees who are experts in fields like network and data center technologies, cloud computing, and operational monitoring.

With the addition of these acquisitions, Orange Cyberdefense has expanded its geographic footprint in Europe to nine nations (France, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, UK, and Switzerland), providing more than 2,700 cybersecurity experts. This acquisition’s financial information wonā€™t be made public.

Orange Cyberdefenseā€™s knowledge of cyber threat intelligence has increased as a result of this acquisition. With more than 200 individuals devoted to this activity, we are also improving and enhancing our skills in terms of ethical hacking on the European market. Additionally, by utilizing the knowledge and assets of the Orange Group, SCRT and Telsys are now able to broaden their service offerings to provide their clients with a larger variety of managed security and IT services around-the-clock. This acquisitionā€™s financial information wonā€™t be made public.

The Swiss B2B Market

The Orange Groupā€™s top strategic objective is the development of Orange Cyberdefense. With a goal of reaching one billion euros in 2023, Orange Cyberdefense achieved a turnover of +14% in 2021 on a worldwide market that is expanding by more than 10% annually.

Orange Cyberdefense is pursuing its ambitious organic and inorganic strategy to establish itself as the European leader in cybersecurity, following the SecureLink and SecureData acquisitions in 2019.

Already present in Switzerland through Orange Business Services, Orange Cyberdefense is now strengthening the Groupā€™s presence in the Swiss B2B market. Orange Cyberdefense, which has more than 8,500 clients globally, is fundamentally committed to providing geographic closeness to its clients. In order to enhance and accelerate its growth goals, notably in the Swiss-German areas in collaboration with Orange Business Services, both firmsā€™ management and integrated teams will remain in place.
