U.S. Data Center Operator Element Critical Adds Megaport’s Connectivity

Megaport

Element Critical is now partnering with global Network as a Service (NaaS) provider Megaport to optimize enterprise network agility for clients adopting hybrid data center architectures. Clients of Element Critical will be able to securely connect over a flexible network to popular cloud service providers including AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, and Oracle Cloud, as well as Megaport’s global ecosystem of over 700 enabled data centers and over 360 service providers.

With the implementation of edge infrastructures and connected network services, the demand for network connectivity is increasing, stated Element Critical. Businesses would need practical and highly linked data storage solutions more than ever before to satisfy corporate goals for performance, compliance, security, and cost reduction.

The Megaport network, which serves as the foundation for Element Critical’s cloud connect offerings, would enable clients to establish secure and direct interconnection to public cloud service providers, enhancing hybrid IT solutions with higher performance, lower latency, greater control, and improved reliability.

Customers of Element Critical may create smooth connections across geographical areas and cloud service providers without having to control and maintain physical infrastructure at the cloud edge. In contrast to regional connections on the Megaport network, establishing direct link to multiple top cloud and network providers will assist customers in achieving global reach.

“Interconnection solutions for digital infrastructure are vital to scale in today’s business-everywhere landscape,” said Steve Weaver, Chief Revenue Officer at Element Critical.Megaport will help our customers unite business connectivity in an easy-to-use platform and extend their reach everywhere they need to be.”

Avoiding Public Internet Connections

Clients that use private interconnection would save quite some money by avoiding “risky” public Internet connections and taking advantage of lower cloud egress costs than those charged by the Internet. Additionally, clients would have the freedom to dial bandwidth up or down as necessary to guarantee that they can grow services while minimizing expenses. Additionally, near-instantaneous provisioning would provide quick business agility.
