UKCloud Expands Its Microsoft Azure Capabilities

UKCloud, a UK-based provider of public and multi-cloud solutions to the UK public sector, has announced the general availability of two new Microsoft Azure capabilities, namely support for Microsoft Azure public cloud and private Azure Stack Hub.

AzureUKCloud’s further investment in its Azure services is aimed at helping public sector organizations create hybrid cloud environments which can harness the innovation of Microsoft Azure across public cloud, private cloud and secured cloud locations.

According to UKCloud, UK public sector organizations want to run public cloud services within different data centers to address both technical issues, and also regulatory challenges like data sovereignty. As a specialist multi-cloud provider available via a variety of approved public sector procurement frameworks, UKCloud would help to make it simpler for these organizations to access the breadth of Microsoft Azure’s capabilities in a flexible, compliant and controlled way.

UK Data Centers

As founding members of the Azure Stack UK user group, and early adopters of the technology, UKCloud has become a specialist in Microsoft’s hybrid cloud and distributed cloud solutions. UKCloud is a Microsoft Gold Partner and is one of Microsoft’s Tier 1 Direct Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).

As with all UKCloud’s multi-cloud technology stacks (including Oracle, Red Hat and VMware), their Microsoft Azure Stack Hub is available as a hosted service within its “government-grade” data center facilities which form part of the Crown Campus (PDF), as well as available for deployment on-premises or in 3rd party data center facilities.
