Unite Private Networks (UPN), a provider of high-capacity, fiber-based communication networks, is now offering a full suite of carrier-grade, high-bandwidth Ethernet, IP, dark fiber and data transport services to customers in the new ViaWest Plano, Texas colocation data center. UPN already provides services in ViaWest‘s two other facilities in the Dallas metro – Dallas Infomart data center and Richardson Synergy Park data center.
The new fiber extends the existing UPN Plano infrastructure and will enable customers to have diverse routes to some of the most important connectivity hubs in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro.
“We are looking forward to continuing our long-standing partnership with ViaWest and extending our fiber-optic infrastructure to their new Plano data center,” said Steve Hartman, Vice President of Content, Unite Private Networks. “Business customers will now have more options available for unique, low-latency routes, as well as access to our state-of-the-art fiber-optic network and suite of services that includes dark fiber, Internet and metro Ethernet products.”
The new ViaWest Plano data center is Tier III certified by the Uptime Institute for concurrently maintainable reliability. It features 148,000 square feet of raised floor capacity.
“Fiber connectivity and networking routes are key components of our data center and our ability to offer flexible and innovative connectivity services to clients,” said Tom Myers, Regional Vice President and General Manager of the Southeast region, ViaWest. “Unite Private Networks has enabled our success in Dallas and Richardson, and we are pleased to partner with them to support our fiber network at our new data center in Plano.
