A modern web application is often distributed in many services that are spread between many servers. At CampToCamp, we use extensively the Elastic Stack – Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash – to collect, transform and centralize the logs of the distributed web application. We can then build Kibana dashboards that provide useful information to system administrators, application developers and data/application owners.
