Vantage Data Centers, a global provider of hyperscale data center campuses, has broken ground on two new greenfield campuses in Berlin and Warsaw. Part of the company’s $2 billion European expansion, these locations would offer hyperscalers, cloud providers, and enterprises best-in-class hyperscale data center campuses in two sought-after EU areas. This is Vantage’s second German data center campus and its first in Poland.

When completely built, this 250,000 square foot (24,000 square meter) campus (BER1) in Brandenburg Park will be made up of two 16MW “state-of-the-art” data centers that will provide a combined 32MW of essential IT load. The first phase, which is expected to be completed in early 2022, will have an IT capacity of 8MW.

Vantage Data Centers will give its clients renewable energy alternatives on campus to minimize carbon emissions as part of the company’s environmental sustainability initiative. BER1 will include a high-efficiency cooling system with outside air economization, as well as the capacity to link to district heating systems to recycle waste heat.

On-site solar energy generation for non-critical sections, EV charging stations, maximum green space, and subsurface drainage to regulate runoff into surrounding waterways will all be features of the new data center campus.

Two new “state-of-the-art” data centers in Warsaw, Poland, will make up this 390,000 square foot (36,000 square meter) complex (WAW1).

When completely built, the first facility will have 16MW of capacity and the second facility will have 32MW of capacity, totaling 48MW of critical IT load. The first phase would feature 8MW of IT capacity and is expected to be completed in early 2022.

Clients at this data center campus will also have access to renewable energy alternatives, as well as hyper-efficient cooling with outside air economization and EV charging stations.

They will also benefit from features like customized workstations, safe storage, and numerous meeting room options at this campus.
