Veeam Announces Free Tool, Delivers Backup and Recovery for Linux Servers in the Cloud and On Premises

Veeam Software, a pioneering provider of data center availability solutions, has announced Veeam Backup for Linux, a free standalone agent that delivers backup and recovery for Linux servers running in the public cloud, as well as for a few remaining physical Linux servers running on premises.

Customers can use this tool to back up individual cloud instances and restore them on premises, or back up on premises and restore in the cloud.

A closed beta version of Veeam Backup for Linux will be available in the first half of 2016 on a first come, first serve basis. To be one of the first to get access to the beta code, sign up here.
