Velocity Migrates Healthcare Organization, Aspirus, to Managed Cloud Hosting Environment

Aspirus, a community-directed healthcare organization with more than 5,500 employees, based in Wausau, WI, has selected Velocity for hosting and managing Aspirus’ enterprise resource planning (ERP) business software applications within Velocity’s private cloud hosting environment.

Velocity’s managed cloud hosting solution was chosen by Aspirus because of its ability to support the range of applications Aspirus runs, its experience managing applications and supporting compliance requirements for healthcare organizations, and the high level of business insight and control Aspirus can achieve using Velocity Zoom.

Managing healthcare applications

managed-hosting-healthcareVelocity Zoom is a cloud management console that provides CIOs and their teams with insight and control over the performance and use of their ERP, business enablement and analytic software. The management console provides Aspirus with business process insight that enables the organization to balance cash-flow throughout the month, while making it easier for Aspirus to provide auditability for financial and payroll transactions.

“We needed an IT services partner that has a powerful track record managing applications for healthcare organizations, and who could help us manage costs and optimize flexibility across our software portfolio to support our business units more effectively,” said Todd Richardson, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Aspirus. “Velocity’s managed cloud hosting services enable us to mitigate the risk associated with selecting and maintaining applications and remaining compliant with changing regulations.”

Velocity is headquartered in New York with facilities in Denver, Minneapolis, Seattle, London (Canada), and Glasgow (UK). Velocity is a portfolio company of Silver Lake Sumeru, a private equity company with investments in growth-oriented technology and technology-enabled companies.
