Onboard Cisco routers enable dedicated short range communications (DSRC) which allows for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication. There is also a Service Provider component that supports passenger services such as mapping and entertainment applications such as Pandora. Data analytics also play a critical role in creating new capabilities built on an open, non-proprietary IP network infrastructure.
