Making Kubernetes Extensible with the Container Storage Interface

Kelvion New Plate Heat Exchanger

With the adoption of the Container Storage Interface, the Kubernetes volume layer becomes truly extensible. Saad Ali, Google Cloud Senior Software Engineer, explains how third party storage developers can now write and deploy volume plugins exposing new storage systems in Kubernetes without ever having to touch the core Kubernetes code. This will result in even more options for the storage that backs Kubernetes users’ stateful containerized workloads.
